摘要:The toxiceffectsofionicliquids(ILs)haveattractedincreasingattentioninrecentyears.However,the
knowledgeaboutthetoxiceffectsofILsontropisminorganismsremainsquitelimited.Inthisstudy,the
effects of1-hexyl-3-methylimidazoliumbromide[C6mim]Br onrootgravitropismwereevaluatedusing
Arabidopsis seedlings. Ourresultsshowedthattherootgrowthandgravityresponseweresignificantly
inhibited withincreasingILconcentration.[C6mim]Br treatmentaffectedtheamountanddistribution
pattern ofamyloplastsinrootcapcomparedwithcontrols.Theauxindistributionmarkedwith DR5rev::
VENUS wasalteredinIL-treatedseedlings.Thesignalintensityandgeneexpressionofauxinefflux
carriers PIN2andPIN3wereobviouslydecreasedbyILstress.Moreover,asconsequencesinresponseto
gravitystimulus,theasymmetricDR5signalsincontrolrootapexwereimpairedbyILtreatment.The
predominant PIN2signalsalongthelower flank ofrootandPIN3polarizationincolumellacellswerealso
significantly reducedinseedlingsexposedtoIL.Ourresultssuggestthattheionicliquid[C6mim]Br
affects theamountanddistributionofamyloplastsanddisturbsthedeploymentofPIN2andPIN3,thus
impairing auxin flowsinresponsetogravitystimulusandcausingdeficient rootgravitropismin Arabi-
dopsis seedlings.
